The World's Largest Animatronic Dinosaur Park


Long before coasters, dinosaurs ruled Kings Island. Now they’re back and they haven’t eaten in a very long time. Come face-to-face with the most animatronic dinosaurs on Earth at the only place big enough to hold them all: Kings Island. See more than fifty-six moving, practically breathing life-sized dinosaurs, including several you can control. Plus, find out what it’s like to be a paleontologist at our dig site. The serenitude of the grazing Hadrosaurs is disrupted. A group of Deinonychus hunt and take down an Iguanodon. A fourth Deinonychus comes to join the fray.

A group of Pachyrhinosaurus attempt to cross a river and are swept up by a flash flood and perish. The scene is based on a fossil bed in Alberta and shows the timeline of life, death & fossilization.

Scene 3 - Sauropods

You’ll find why there was never an actual dinosaur called Brontosaurus in this season which features long neck Sauropods grazing on the tops of trees as they look out over the Jurassic forest setting.

Scene 4 - Predator Trap
Scene 4 - Predator Trap

A juvenile Allosaurus gets stuck in the mud of a water hole, with other Allosaurus drawn to their thrashing and prey on them. A juvenile Stegosaurus also gets stuck in the mud and tries to escape, while mother and sibling look on. A much larger Allosaurus arrives to check out the commotion.

The dig site is contoured to appear as if it were found in the park at Kings Island. Guests are encouraged to uncover the skeleton, which is covered in sand.

Scene 6 -T-Rex Fight
Scene 6 -T-Rex Fight

A wide-eyed Triceratops barrels down the slope about to be taken down by a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex, as a smaller one escapes. In close pursuit are an impressive 18m adult T-Rex and its other smaller offspring.
