No matter the time of year, there are always unique and exciting things to do in Cincinnati at Kings Island with our many Seasons of Fun events. The expansive park spans over 364 acres and boasts thrilling rides, family-friendly attractions, live entertainment, and delicious dining options. With over 100 rides, shows and attractions, guests of all ages are sure to find there’s plenty to see and do through spring, summer, fall, and winter at Kings Island.

Spring Events
When it comes to things to do in Cincinnati in the spring, the start of a new season of fun at Kings Island ranks number one! The park is open weekends from mid-April through mid-May which offers a fun-filled day for families and thrill-seekers alike. From roller coasters and getting your first taste of new dining options to live music and entertainment with bands performing at the Bandstand on International Street, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Summer Events
It wouldn’t be summer without the return of Soak City Water Park on Memorial Day weekend! There’s something for everyone at the region’s premier water park with more than 50 water activities, including 36 water slides, two wave pools, a lazy river, cabanas, delicious food, and more. Best of all, park admission to Kings Island includes Soak City! Two great parks for the price of one.
In addition to the thrill-inducing roller coasters, family and kids’ rides, there’s also live music and entertainment at show venues located around the park.
A tradition for many families at the end of the day in the summer is Kings Island’s nightly fireworks show. It’s the perfect way to cap off a fun and memorable day at the park as the park lights up the sky. Even more impressive is Kings Island’s Fourth of July event as the park entertains guests of all ages with one of the largest fireworks displays in the region.
Grand Carnivale is one of the must-experience summer events and food festivals in Ohio. There’s so much for everyone in the family to see and do at Grand Carnivale. Explore culinary and live music and entertainment options worldwide as you dance and party the night away. Kids will find games and craft activities that will make them laugh and play. The Spectacle of Color Parade invites you to join in the fun.
Fall Events
If you’re looking for fall festivals and Halloween events, Kings Island offers something for everyone in the family.
Don’t miss out on Tricks and Treats. This spooktacular fall event is perfect for the whole family. Enjoy festive decorations, live music and entertainment, crafts for kids, costume contests, and a variety of seasonal foods and beverages. Plus, little ghouls and goblins can show off their costumes and collect candy at designated Trick or Treat stations. It’s the ultimate kids’ Halloween party.
When the sun goes down, get ready to face your fears at Halloween Haunt! Voted Best Halloween Event in the country in 2022, 2021 and 2018 by USA TODAY readers, this Halloween event’s features bone-chilling mazes, sinister scare zones and ghoulish shows await you. And don’t forget to ride some of the top-ranked roller coasters in the world in the dark if you dare!
Winter Events
Kings Island invites guests to grab their mittens and visit the park to experience the magic of the holiday season at WinterFest! It’s a one-of-a-kind winter wonderland experience packed with festive attractions, live music and entertainment, ice skating under the stars on the Royal Fountain, more than five million dazzling Christmas lights, holiday shopping and seasonal food offerings.
The winter festival begins each night with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony which transforms the Eiffel Tower into a stunning 314-foot tall Christmas tree.
The WinterFest Wonderland Parade is the gem of the event as guests are invited to sing and dance with our merriment characters. Select rides and attractions will also be available during this can’t-miss, limited-time winter event.
