One of the most highly anticipated new attractions in the amusement/theme park industry for 2017 and boasting impressive thrill stats, Kings Island’s new ride,  Mystic Timbers , attracts riders with an intriguing mystery: What’s in the shed?

The 109-foot-tall wooden roller coaster is themed to an abandoned lumber company and traverses 16 airtime hill moments through wooded terrain and over water along a 3,265-foot-long track. Custom designed and built for the topography of Kings Island, three trains weave along steep cliffs, down ravines, cross over water and go through an extreme S-turn, among a forest of trees, at speeds of up to 53 mph in a ride experience that lasts more than two minutes.

The story of Mystic Timbers reaches back to Rivertown’s beginning and the formation of the K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad and the Miami River Lumber Company. The lumber company began buying large sections of wooded land with the goal of using the railroad to make it easier to ship the timber out. But something mysterious, something that could not be explained, began to happen. The area surrounding the lumber company became overrun by a medusa-like growth of vines as nature moved in and reclaimed its land.

Mystic Timbers is a story-driven attraction offering a ride experience that is fun, thrilling and memorable (for all guests that meet the minimum height requirement of 48 inches). You’ll want to ride it over and over again.

And with a Gold Season Pass, you can! Head to Kings Island and begin riding this amazing attraction 30 minutes before the park opens every public operating day this season. Plus, every Tuesday in May and June (starting May 16) the coaster will remain open for one extra hour after the park closes, exclusively for Gold Season Passholders to enjoy.

There are 100 reasons to have a Gold Pass 2017 to Kings Island, including the new Mystic Timbers. Join in on the fun and thrills this season with a Gold Season Pass for as low as six easy payments of $18. Hurry! Gold Season Pass offer ends May 29.
