2025 Season Ride Anniversaries

From Kings Island's tallest ride to its wettest, there are several major anniversaries during the 2025 season.
Queen City Stunt Coaster (2005)
Manufacturer: Premier Rides
Rev those engines! Queen City Stunt Coaster blasted onto the scene in 2005, bringing high-speed thrills with its intense chase scene theming and linear induction motor launch system!
When Queen City Stunt Coaster opened in 2005 as “The Italian Job”, it was the only coaster of its kind in the country. Depicting a chase scene from the 2003 film with the same name, the ride accelerates from 0-40 mph in just three seconds before entering an upward helix through a three-story parking garage. Riders dodge police cars and a helicopter before launching into a tunnel and crashing through a billboard.
Did You Know?
A warehouse fire in Utah where the coaster’s cars were being stored nearly delayed the ride’s opening.
Boo Blasters on Boo Hill (2010)
Manufacturer: Sally Corporation
Prepare your blasters! Summoning guests to the supernatural world since its debut in 2010, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill challenges guests to compete amongst each other for the highest score on a spooky journey through the darkness!
Although Kings Island’s Boo Blasters was previously Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle, the ride system itself was originally used with the park’s dark ride, Phantom Theater. While it maintained the same ride system, the ride originally did not contain the laser gun interactive elements.
Franklin's Flyers (2015)
Manufacturer: Larson International
Beagle Scouts, command your flight! First introduced in 2015, this attraction allows riders to control the wings of their vehicles as they weave through the air and soar above Camp Snoopy!
Did You Know?
Franklin’s Flyers pays tribute to the park’s former attraction, “Flying Eagles,” a popular ride that entertained more than 12 million guests during its years of operation from 1972 to 2004.
Orion (2020)
Manufacturer: Bolliger & Mabillard
Since its launch in 2020, Orion, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, has delivered breathtaking thrills with its legendary 300-foot first drop, earth-shattering speeds of up to 91 mph and a ride experience like no other!
Did You Know?
While the coaster was completed and operational in March 2020, its opening was delayed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The ride eventually opened to season passholders for special preview dates beginning on July 2, 2020.
Shake, Rattle & Roll (1975)
Manufacturer: HUSS
This classic ride is a testament to the park's history, providing a fun, spinning experience that's enjoyable for all ages! Operating since 1975, this ride allows guests to gently soar and twirl above Coney Mall.
Did You Know?
Kings Island’s Shake, Rattle & Roll’s original name was “Troika”, the Russian word meaning “group of three,” a reference to the ride’s three-armed design.
Snoopy’s Space Buggies (2015)
Manufacturer: Zamperla
Embark on a cosmic journey with Snoopy! This family-friendly attraction opened in 2015 and provides a gentle, space-themed ride experience for younger park guests.
Did You Know? The same year that Snoopy’s Space Buggies debuted, Kings Island also added the International Street Funnel Cakes shop and the largest Starbucks in the Tri-State area.
White Water Canyon (1985)
Manufacturer: Intamin
"YOU WILL GET WET; YOU MAY GET DRENCHED." White Water Canyon has navigated the rapids since 1985, simulating a whitewater rafting adventure for brave guests. Every ride is a different experience, so hop in one of our large round rafts and prepare for the unknown!

Manufacturer: ProSlide
Plunging through the trees since 1990, Zoom Flume delivers a wild water adventure! Experience winding descents and refreshing splashes as you navigate the scenic course.
