2024 Purpose Award Winners

On March 12, Kings Island held its annual Cedar Fair Purpose Awards Ceremony for associates. The annual celebration recognizes the hard work and dedication of employees who are committed to our purpose, making people happy. More than 40 Kings Island associates were nominated by their co-workers this year, and five associates were awarded a 2024 Purpose Award.
Please join us in congratulating this year's winners: Alexa, Aimee, Lori, Scott and Sharon. Here are some of the incredible things that co-workers said about them and how they are truly making a difference every day with park guests and co-workers.
Alexa Fisher | Brand Activation Manager, Marketing
"Alexa plays an important role in ensuring that our park has a positive marketing presence....Each day she comes in with a smile and places a larger effort on ensuring Kings Island is represented in the marketplace and has positive recognition in the park. She never has a frown on her face and is always a positive team member to look to for guidance."
Aimee Jump | Manager, Workforce Management
"Amy plays a pivotal role in ensuring we have the right number of trained associates coming in at the right time to best satisfy our guests. She has worked on the line at Coney BBQ, picked up a pan and broom to help sweep and signed up for a time slot (or two) for every associate appreciation event."
Scott Robinson | Area Manager, Merchandise
"He has always made sure to take the time to get to know those around him and seeks out a common interest between him and others to help form a bond with them. Scott has never hesitated to stop and check on how a person is doing in the park, whether it is a person who reports directly to him or a member of another department."
Lori Crone | Foreperson, Creative Services & Signage
"Lori's unparalleled ability to create and collaborate without a doubt makes people happy. Her willingness to take on any project or help anyone at any stage of development was best demonstrated in 2023's Adventure Port. No matter how busy, Lori has a difficult time not helping others in need."
Sharon Small | Operations Supervisor, Food Service
"Sharon keeps the team informed, and keeps her door always open to help when help is needed. Not only is she a great performer but her attitude sets her apart as well. She comes to work with a smile on her face and always approaches each situation with a can-do attitude."
