In fall 2023, Kings Island announced the expansion of the amusement park's award-winning Kids' Area, Planet Snoopy, with the addition of Camp Snoopy featuring the new family roller coaster, Snoopy's Soap Box Racers and interactive play area, Beagle Scout Acres.

Along with these attractions, this area of Planet Snoopy also will feature theming additions and enhancements including several existing rides. Some of these rides' names will change as they transition to become part of Camp Snoopy.

Race For Your Life Charlie Brown

One of the most popular rides in the park’s history, Race for Your Life Charlie Brown made its Kings Island debut in 1972. The log flume has had different names since the park's opening year, and in 2024 it will change to Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride. During the ride, guests are invited to hop aboard a hollowed-out log and cruise down the river for a relaxing journey through the waterways of Camp Snoopy before ending with a heart-pounding plunge down Wishy-Washy Falls.

Flying Ace Aerial Chase

Originally opening in 2001 as Rugrats Runaway Reptar, this Vekoma inverted steel coaster features a top speed of 26 mph and lasts for roughly 1 minute 30 seconds. In 2024, Flying Ace Aerial Chase will take on its new Camp Snoopy name, Woodstock’s Air Rail, where Woodstock has been placed in charge of delivering Camp Snoopy’s mail. And, you’re in luck. He’s looking for recruits to help him. Hop aboard these Woodstock-themed flyers for some high-flying fun.

Woodstock Gliders

This Planet Snoopy favorite flies riders up to 28 feet in the air as they control whether their carriage goes high or low using a directional paddle. When Camp Snoopy opens in 2024, Woodstock Gliders will officially become Franklin’s Flyers, where the beloved Peanuts character has crafted some unique flying gliders that allow fellow campers to see the sights as they soar high above.

Linus Launcher

In addition to the rides changing names, Linus Launcher also will become part of Camp Snoopy, but its name will not change. This unique ride captures that classic Peanuts moment when Snoopy grabs Linus’ beloved blanket and takes him on a wild ride.

Get ready to experience Planet Snoopy like never before. With Camp Snoopy's new and refreshed rides, immersive theming and other enhancements, your favorite Peanuts characters will be brought to life in new exciting ways. Camp Snoopy is planned to open in late spring.
