Attention Parents! Here's Your Kids Guide to WinterFest

Now that school's wrapping up for the year, Kings Island's WinterFest is open nightly through New Year's Eve, (excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas). With seven million lights, more than 20 rides, live shows and the Winter Wonderland parade, there are plenty of activities your family will enjoy. While everything at WinterFest is fun for the whole family, here are some activities that your kids will especially enjoy.
Make a holiday keepsake at Sally’s Christmas Crafts
Take a break from the cold weather by stopping in to do a free holiday craft activity. Located right in the middle of Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town (Planet Snoopy), this fun activity takes about 15 minutes and is a nice spot to warm up in between their favorite Planet Snoopy rides.
Decorate cookies with Mrs. Claus
Mrs. Claus has been baking cookies all day, and now all that’s left is to decorate and eat them! Stop by her kitchen on International Street to decorate four large sugar cookies with frosting and toppings for one low price.
See a show at the Peanuts Showplace
See all your favorite characters in A PEANUTS™ Guide to Christmas in the Peanuts Showplace Theater located just behind the Great Pumpkin Coaster in Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town (Planet Snoopy).
Make bubbles magically appear
Wonder Wands are the key to activating special experiences and interactions around the park, including bubbles and other special effects. Keep your kids active as you walk from experience to experience by looking for these special stops spread throughout the park. Wands can be purchased near the Eiffel Tower while supplies last.
Step inside for dinner or a warm beverage
If you're looking to sit down and take a break in between WinterFest activities, there are many indoor food and seasonal beverage options during WinterFest, including the International Restaurant Winter Buffet (International Street), Café du Père Noël (International Street). Grain & Grill Scrooge’s Sausage Haus (International Street), Tannenbaumhaus (Oktoberfest), Blitzen’s Brewhouse (Rivertown Wonderland) and even Starbucks (International Street). Or, get a collectible (and refillable) hot chocolate mug and stay warm by filling up at multiple locations throughout the park.
Enjoy your next visit to WinterFest and let us know what your favorite tip is for families with kids!
