Kings Island unveils new haunted maze, new scare zone and two new shows for Halloween Haunt 2022

September 14, 2022

It’s that “spooktacular” time of year in Cincinnati where hundreds of gruesome and vile creatures eagerly wait to make guests their next meal at Kings Island’s Halloween Haunt.

There is no escaping the wicked screams that fill the air at the Ohio amusement park. Every corner of the park is freshly cursed with horrifying mazes, spine-tingling scare zones and hair-raising thrill rides, thus creating an immersive Halloween event like no other.

This year, Halloween Haunt comes screaming back with four new, bone-chilling experiences, including:

  • NEW HAUNTED MAZE: Hotel St. Michelle – This old 1920s hotel has been boarded up for years, but here's your chance to sneak into the back entrance to see if the haunting rumors are really true. Try to keep your cool as you make your way through the old, suffocating boiler room, musty service corridors and spirited guest rooms.
  • NEW SCARE ZONE: Alien X – The secrets of Area 72 were only recently unearthed, but as darkness falls even more information has come to light. Workers are showing their true, otherworldly forms. But, don't worrry, most of them have been contained and are on display.
  • NEW SHOW: NyteWalkers – Their ravenous appetite won't be satiated until these zombies feed on their prey. This unique combination of acrobatics, stunts and action sports makes one of the most suspenseful, entertaining and creative experiences at Halloween Haunt!
  • NEW SHOW: Terror Rising – If you're a fan of thrash, EDM and heavy metal, you won't want to miss the Overlord and his Skull Squad as they remind everyone watching on International Street that they are the ones who truly rule over Halloween Haunt at Kings Island.

Hotel St. Michelle and Alien X join a returning lineup of five haunted mazes and three scare zones.

Halloween Haunt kicks off Sept. 23 and runs on 15 select nights through Oct. 29 at Kings Island. Halloween Haunt tickets are now on sale.

While Halloween Haunt tickets are available, the best way to experience the fall event is with a 2023 Gold Season Pass! Buy a Gold Season Pass today at the lowest price and enjoy unlimited visits the rest of this year and all of 2023.
