Kings Island is looking to hire more than 5,000 associates for the 2023 season, with the 364-acre amusement and water park now accepting applications online. A job fair will be held on-site Feb. 18 – 20 (Presidents Day Weekend) from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. hiring for all seasonal positions. On Feb. 21 – 24, the park will visit more than 20 local high schools during lunch and after school to talk with students about job opportunities. Interested candidates will have the ability to apply, interview and get hired the same day.

A diverse range of job opportunities are available, and associates are needed in all areas of park operation. Those areas include admissions, entertainment, food and beverage, fire and safety, guest services, lifeguards, merchandise, ride operations, security, sweeps and warehouse.

Hourly pay ranges from $15 – $18.25 per hour (16 years of age or older) based on experience, prior service  and position. Kings Island offers competitive wages and benefits, $80,000 in scholarship opportunities and many perks for its associates including discounts, reward and recognition programs, exclusive events, free meals and free admission to any Cedar Fair park.

In addition to high school and college students, adults looking to supplement their income, retirees, and teachers available for the summer are encouraged to apply as well. Qualified applicants will be contacted to schedule an on-site or virtual interview.

Don’t wait to apply. It’s competitive. A limited number of positions are available in several departments, and those positions can fill up quickly.

Prior to applying, thoroughly read the job descriptions for the positions you have interest in. You’re competing with other applicants for a job at one of the top seasonal amusement parks in the world and need to bring your A-game to the interview.

What could working at Kings Island teach you and how would it be beneficial to your career aspirations? In choosing to make Kings Island your employer of choice, you’ll develop these three essential and transferable skills: Communications skills, interpersonal skills, and work ethic.

Seasonal positions at Kings Island also have the potential to turn into more than just a summer job. The majority of the park’s full-time year-round staff began their career as seasonal associates at Kings Island or other amusement parks.
