Here’s the story: 49 years ago The Brady Bunch Kings Island episode premiered on ABC-TV

Can you believe it was 49 years ago (Nov. 23, 1973) when The Brady Bunch episode filmed at Kings Island premiered on ABC-TV?
Episode No. 106 of The Brady Bunch, titled “The Cincinnati Kids”, was filmed at the 364-acre amusement and water park over a five-day period from Aug. 20-24, 1973.
The show featured stars Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, Barry Williams, Maureen McCormick, Christopher Knight, Eve Plumb, Mike Lookinland, Susan Olsen and Ann B. Davis searching all over Kings Island for Mike Brady’s (played by Reed) architectural drawings for a park expansion project.
"It was one of the most exciting times in our filming history because we got to get outside of the soundstage at Paramound Studios and go to a new city in Cincinnati," Williams (Greg Brady) said during a visit to Kings Island in May. "The park was just beginning, not anywhere near finished and not anywhere near as large as it is now.
"It was fun to be at the park. The whole episode had us traveling throughout the park so we were on all the rides and saw all the backstage things and had a really wonderful time."
I love watching this episode. I've seen it at least 250 times! It brings back so many memories that I have of Kings Island’s early years. A number of rides that are long gone but not forgotten can be seen in the episode, like Halley's Comet, Der Spinnen Keggers and the Wheel of Fortune.
The episode airs a handful of times a year in syndication on TV Land and other channels around the world, and parts of it can also be found floating around on YouTube. It’s one of the most watched and most popular episodes of the series, which aired for five seasons from 1969 to 1974 and after its cancellation has been in syndication since 1975.
"It was a fun episode," Williams said. "Not much of a plot. Jan loses the plans and the rest of the episode is everybody searching for it all over the park, so it became a great travel log for the show and for the park. I think it kind of bonded the Brady’s and Kings Island with multiple generations."
