Over the course of the last 12 weeks, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager Mike Koontz presented 128 “Over the Top” awards to deserving seasonal and part-time associates each week. Every single associate that received the award was very special to not only their team and to the park, but also our guests by making their visit memorable and exceeding expectations.

Associates across all divisions were nominated by their full-time manager for a chance to receive the award. All weekly winners were then eligible for the grand prize of $1,000 accompanied by a trophy and a second-place prize of $500 and trophy.

This past weekend, over the final two operating days of the 2020 season, Koontz made his way around the park via trolley to present the grand prize and second-place prizes to the 19 associates featured below:

Alexis, First Aid

Annie, Park Services

Brandon, Security

Derek (Grand Prize Winner), Rides

Fawna, Entertainment Operations

Kelley, Games

Mikaela, Food and Beverage

Mitch, Entertainment

Molly, Human Resources

Monica, Communications

Nandana, Food & Beverage

Rolf, Rides

Rowan, Games
