Last truckload of steel delivered to construct Orion giga coaster
January 15, 2020The last truckload of steel has been delivered to construct Kings Island’s new Orion giga coaster.
Themed to the park's new Area 72, riders on Orion will plummet down a 300-foot first drop at an 85-degree angle, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on the tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster at Kings Island.
One of the most highly-anticipated new rides in the amusement and theme park industry this year, Orion will debut in April.
Those who cannot wait until April to experience their first ride on Orion can take a virtual front row ride now.
