PEANUTS Sketch School at Home Episode 1: Schroeder
December 4, 2020Today we begin a new series on the Kings Island Blog with an activity kids and their parents will enjoy doing together, “PEANUTS Sketch School at Home”.
The series begins with Beethoven’s biggest fan, Schroeder.
Join PEANUTS Sketch School artist Noel as he shows you how to animate Schroeder. All you need are a couple of arts supplies: a blank sheet of paper and a No. 2 pencil.
We want to see your drawings so be sure to share and tag us in your social media posts using #KingsIsland and #SketchSchool.
ABOUT SCHROEDER
Schroeder made his first appearance in a PEANUTS comic strip May 30, 1951. A somewhat moody, musical genius, Schroeder knew how to play the piano since before he could walk.
Schroeder is also known as the catcher on Charlie Brown’s baseball team. Because he always walks the ball back to the pitcher’s mound, nobody knows what kind of arm he has. He’s adored by Lucy Van Pelt, who can often be seen leaning on Schroeder’s piano, much to his chagrin.
