Have you ever wondered what happens to rides when their motors have stopped, their wood turned rotten and steel to rust? Since Kings Island’s opening in 1972, a lot of attractions have come and gone. The former rides graveyard on display during the Halloween season at Kings Island allows guests to grieve over deceased rides from the past that are lost, but not forgotten.

Here's a look at the tombstones of some the former Kings Island rides. How many of them do you remember?

Soon the former rides graveyard will have a new resident: Firehawk. The ride will give its last flights this fall on October 28.

Kings Island releases new pins for 2020
