There’s a Build-A-Bear at Kings Island and you HAVE to see it

I’ve got all the details on Kings Island’s Build-A-Bear Workshop, including exclusive items you can’t get anywhere else.

I visited Build-A-Bear all the time as a kid, and visiting Kings Island’s Build-A-Bear Workshop definitely made me want to make a furry friend again. The Build-A-Bear Workshop is just inside Kings Island’s main gates next to LaRosa’s, and it’s filled with all kinds of exclusive friends and accessories. There’s so many dolls to choose from, and I couldn’t believe how much was only available at Kings Island, like Care Bears and Dory. My personal favorite was the mini Kings Island T-shirt. There were also some awesome sports-themed clothes, so your furry friend can cheer for the Cincinnati Bengals or Ohio State Buckeyes. The Reds baseball outfits were especially adorable!

What’s more, there were tons of pop culture themes. The store has Paw Patrol and Shopkins galore, and there’s even a sound you can put inside your new friend to make them sound like Chase or make them play the Star Wars theme song. I was tempted to stuff my own Pikachu or Elsa bear.

Want your friend to save the world or battle the Dark Side? No problem! There are superheroes and all kinds of Star Wars friends and accessories. I loved the fuzzy Wookiees and Kylo Ren doll, and the mini lightsabers were hysterical!

I was super excited to find out about the extra goodies you can put in your Build-A-Bear to make them really feel alive. Once you choose your furry friend, you can add a vibrating heartbeat or a sound to make them giggle when you give them a hug. There’s even a sentiment option to give them a fun smell. The cotton candy and popcorn smells definitely made me think of Kings Island’s Coney Treats, so if you’re a sweet tooth you’ll love that one.

Whatever you want your Build-A-Bear to say or do, they can’t do it without stuffing and love! When I saw the stuffing process it brought back so many memories of building a Build-A-Bear when I was younger, and I loved seeing that Kings Island and Build-A-Bear have kept the same traditions over the years. Once your friend is stuffed, put a heart inside to wake them up, then make a wish and ta-da! Your Build-A-Bear is born. Don’t worry about carrying your new friend through the rest of the park. The store offers drawstring bags to transport them safely on your back.

Kings Island’s Build-A-Bear is one of the most unique and still timeless stores I’ve visited in the park. They kept all of the classic traditions while adding their own custom, Kings Island touch. I would recommend it to anyone with little ones that want something to remember their day at Kings Island or even parents who want to save an extra trip to a Build-A-Bear at the mall. Either way, stop in on your way through the park!
