A fun, memorable and rewarding event
The thrill of riding a roller coaster will have a whole new meaning Sunday, June 8, when Kings Island hosts the sixth annual "Coasting for Kids" event to raise money for Give Kids the World (GKTW), a Central Florida non-profit resort that provides cost-free, weeklong vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
This fun-filled, memorable and rewarding event is a company-wide effort at all 11 Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement parks, raising a combined total of more than $250,000 since its inception.
Kings Island fans and roller coaster enthusiasts alike will enjoy a day filled with riding Diamondback (9am- 10am), the Racer (10am - 6pm) and the new record-breaking Banshee (10:30pm - 11pm) over and over again during the event. All participants need to raise a minimum of $75 for Give Kids the World to take part and will receive complimentary park admission, a certificate of participation, a Coasting for Kids event t-shirt, catered lunch and unlimited rides during the sessions on Diamondback, the Racer and Banshee.
The top three fundraisers will receive prizes that will be awarded at the end of the event.
