Every day, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager Mike Koontz receives and reads compliments from our guests about how the park’s seasonal and part-time associates are going “over the top” that made their visit memorable and exceeded their expectations. To acknowledge those who go over the top for our guests and their co-workers, the Over the Top award was introduced this summer.

Here’s how the Over the Top awards work: Associates are nominated each week by their full-time manager for a chance to receive the award. All weekly winners are then eligible to win the grand prize and a second-place prize with the final winners receiving a special trophy on the final weekend of the 2020 season, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
