This past weekend, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager Mike Koontz surprised 12 seasonal and part-time associates by presenting them with the “Over the Top” award.

The Over the Top award was created this summer by Koontz as a way to acknowledge those who go over the top for our guests by making their visit memorable and exceeding expectations and for the things they’re doing for their co-workers.

Associates across all divisions are nominated each week by their full-time manager for a chance to receive the award. All weekly winners are then eligible to win the grand prize and a second-place prize with the final winners receiving a special trophy on the final weekend of the 2020 season.

The full list of Over the Top award winners for the week ending Oct. 18 follows below.

Abhishek, Merchandise

Holly, Human Resources

Kaelyn, Entertainment

Kate and Xiano, Games

Congratulations to each of last week’s winners of the Over the Top award!
