Kings Island announces important updates regarding the rest of the 2020 Season. Learn More.
We have some exciting news for fans of The Beast roller coaster: The Beast cars will retain the throwback “flame-themed” color scheme this year that was brought back in 2019 as part of the legendary ride’s 40th anniversary season.
The throwback colors are red (front cars), orange (middle cars) and yellow (back cars), as they were when The Beast made its debut in 1979.
When The Beast first opened, it was the longest and fastest roller coaster in the world. It still holds the title as the longest wooden roller coaster in the world at 7,359 feet.
Arguably the greatest wooden roller coaster ever built, The Beast has given more than 55 million rides – third most Kings Island’s 48-year history, behind The Racer (106 million) and K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad (56 million).
