Kings Island announces important updates regarding the rest of the 2020 Season. Learn More.
If you think riding Diamondback at Kings Island is a thrill (and it is – riders snake their way around 5,282 feet of track at speeds up to 80 mph on one of the top ranked steel roller coasters in the world in annual industry polls), wait until this year! Kings Island will continue to change the landscape for thrill-seekers when its newest roller coaster, Orion, debuts when the 364-acre amusement and water park opens for the 2020 season on April 11.
Themed to the park's new Area 72 and one of only seven giga coasters in the world, riders on Orion will plummet down a 300-foot first drop at an 85-degree angle, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on the tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster at Kings Island.
Those who cannot wait until Opening Day to experience their first ride on Orion can take a virtual front row ride now.
