Kings Island GM introduces new Over The Top award for seasonal and part-time associates
August 11, 2020Each day, Mike Koontz, Kings Island’s vice president and general manager, receives and reads compliments from our guests about how the park’s associates are going “Over The Top” to make their experience memorable and exceeding expectations. Even though 2020 has not turned out the way anyone envisioned, the expectation of delivering the best experience possible for guests – a best day of the year experience – remains what the park holds itself accountable for.
The compliments from guests has resulted in Koontz introducing a new award for seasonal and part-time associates. Each week, 10 or more associates will be presented with the “Over The Top” award as a way to recognize these individuals and what they’re doing for Kings Island, other associates and our guests.
Below are this week’s recipients of the Over The Top award:
Adam, Entertainment
Al, Merchandise
Amani, Security
Austin, Park Services
Crystal and Jesse, Park Services
Jocelyn, Xtreme Skyflyer
Joeh, Food & Beverage
Molly, Human Resources
Monica, Communications
Riley, Food & Beverage
