Tickets now on sale for Halloween Haunt and Great Pumpkin Fest at Kings Island

Heads up! Tickets for the 2019 Halloween Haunt and The Great Pumpkin Fest events at Kings Island are now on sale.

Voted “Best Theme Park Halloween Event” in the country in 2018 by USA Today readers, the 13th season of Halloween Haunt begins September 20 and features six indoor mazes, two outdoor mazes, six scare zones (four new for 2019), three sinister shows and more than 20 rides, including The Beast, Banshee, Diamondback and Mystic Timbers roller coasters.

Located in Planet Snoopy, The Great Pumpkin Fest opens September 22 and is all treats and no tricks when it comes to family-friendly Halloween fun including live entertainment, trick-or-treating, games and everyone’s favorite rides.

Save on admission when you buy online! Enjoy the kid-friendly Great Pumpkin Fest by day and experience the fright of your life at Halloween Haunt by night.

Construction activity begins at Kings Mills Antique Autos ride site

Construction crews have been at the planned location of the new Kings Mills Antique Autos this week, prepping the site for the return of the classic and nostalgic antique car ride opening spring 2019. The site preparation work includes the removal of the Peach Basket game stand and Coca-Cola Refill station building, grading and grubbing, leveling the ground and relocating utilities on the site.

This Day in Kings Island History: Vertical construction on Mystic Timbers began

Two years ago today (Aug. 29, 2016), vertical construction on the Mystic Timbers roller coaster began with the placement of the first set of bents. By the time workmen completed construction on the 3,265-foot long ride, they used 330,00 board feet of southern yellow lumber; 30,000 pounds of nails; 88,000 bolts and washers and 5,500 cubic yards of concrete for the foundation.
