Healthy bites around Kings Island for guests with special dietary needs

Natalie Belfiglio

There’s more to explore at Kings Island than just roller coasters and thrill rides. One of our most frequently asked questions is “Where can I eat if I have dietary needs?”

We’re glad you asked! Kings Island offers a number of food products for guests with special dietary needs, including gluten free options, dairy free products and more.

Gluten Free Meals

Just because you have a gluten allergy doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on amazing food. Some of our restaurants that have gluten free options are Rivertown Potato Works, Hank’s Mexican Grill, Festhaus, Miami River Brewhouse, Island Smokehouse, and Coney Bar-B-Que. Forget about boring food when you can savor rotisserie chicken, with grilled corn on the cob and super slaw at Coney Bar-B-Que to satisfy your summer barbeque cravings.

Vegetarian Meals

Let’s get right into it with the vegetarian options that you can find here at Kings Island.

Being a vegetarian doesn’t mean that you can only enjoy a salad. The newest addition to our food lineup this season is Miami River Brewhouse. The menu will include several vegetarian items including the new Impossible Burger, a vegan burger with herb mustard, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion. While you’re waiting for your burger, you can enjoy Stack-O-Rings, or dig into our KI Salad. You’ll want to have something in your stomach before you go and enjoy the thrills of Mystic Timbers!

Locations Using Peanut Oil/Peanuts/Tree Nuts

"Can kids with peanut allergies hug Charlie Brown?!" Of course and the rest of the PEANUTS gang too! That doesn’t mean some of our guests aren’t allergic to the real thing though. Not to worry, we have a list of locations that use peanut oil, peanuts, and tree nuts for your convenience. Those restaurants include Graeters, Subway locations (White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies), Panda Express, Rivertown Potato Works, and Chick-fil-a.

The Astro-Comet: Remembering King Cobra

In 1984, Kings Island was standing room only as King Cobra made its way into the spotlight of the Adventure Village area of the park. Other stand-up roller coasters that preceded King Cobra were sit-down models later modified to accommodate stand-up trains, so this made it truly the world’s first.
