Kings Island announces important updates regarding the rest of the 2020 Season. Learn More.
Driven by nostalgia, a guest favorite will return when Kings Island opens for the 2019 season on April 20: the antique cars!
While the new Kings Mills Antique Autos retain the look and feel of the original Les Taxis ride, which operated at Kings Island from 1972 to 2004, the autos, supplied by Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Gould Manufacturing, are new.
The four-passenger autos, which were delivered to the park March 26, are 2/3-scale replicas of the 1911 Ford Model T and come with a single pedal control, automatic braking and feature a rugged rear axle equipped with hydraulic braking.
The three-minute, quarter-mile long drive in red, white, blue and green autos will take guests through a beautifully landscaped area with water features and a covered bridge.
