Kings Island announces important updates regarding the rest of the 2020 Season. Learn More.
It’s not the tallest, fastest or most thrilling ride at Kings Island, but it is one of the most recognized rides in the park and staple attraction.
The Scrambler is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has delighted generations of people since it made its debut in 1969 at Cincinnati’s Coney Island. It was among the rides that opened with Kings Island in 1972 and continues to put smiles on the faces of guests old and young, whether they are experiencing it for the first time or reliving childhood memories.
On this classic amusement park ride, you spin around this way and that, never seeing the same thing twice. In fact, it’s difficult to know quite what you’re looking at as you rotate clockwise and counterclockwise at the exact same time. The only thing that makes sense is your urge to hold on tight while the ride’s colorful arms swirl into a rainbow around you.
During the years I came to the park as a guest, no visit was complete without a ride on the Scrambler. It was always so much fun to ride with family and friends; something I looked forward to each and every visit.
Later this year, the Scrambler will give its 25-millionth ride as an attraction at Kings Island. Make plans to ride it during your visits to the park because you never know, the 25-millionth rider could be you!
