Why Kings Island is the best place to visit on rainy days
July 17, 2019Have you hyped yourself up for a day at Kings Island but then you check the forecast and (gasp!) it’s raining? Of course you have! We encourage you to bring a poncho because Kings Island can be just as fun on rainy days as it is on sunny days. From shows, shopping and short ride wait times, there’s still tons to do at the park when the weather takes a turn!
1. Live Shows
The park is filled with live entertainment including indoor shows! Experience Gravity, an out of this world cirque show that is sure to blow you away. Shoot for the stars with our new show, Space Beagle and go on an intergalactic journey with Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang! Sing your heart out to all your favorite country songs with our Country Flashback! Show featuring songs from Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Shania Twain, Tim McGraw and many others. Head over to Festhaus for Lunch with the PEANUTS Gang! There’s something for everyone!
2. Indoor Dining
Ready to eat? Kings Island has plenty of indoor dining options to get out of the rain and enjoy a meal. Head over to Miami River Brewhouse and enjoy a BBLT with tater tots. Journey over to Festhaus if you’re in the mood for LaRosa’s pizza or Panda Express. Festhaus is home to shows such as Country Flashback and Lunch with the PEANUTS Gang so you can have a meal and enjoy a show.
3. Shopping
Kings Island’s gift shops have more than just Beast shirts. There are over a dozen places to shop in the park and many of the stores have name-brand and fashionable clothing and accessories to fit everyone’s needs. Head over to Emporium for an array of items, including Simply Southern merchandise, home décor and anything a Kings Island super fan could imagine. Did you know Kings Island has its own Build-A-Bear with exclusive merchandise? That’s right, after you’re done stuffing your furry friend, you can grab them a Kings Island t-shirt!
We say let it rain, either way there’s an amazing day to be had at Kings Island!
