This week’s “Morning View” photography takes us to The Beast in the Rivertown section at Kings Island where a train was in the process of being transferred onto the track after daily morning maintenance work on it had been completed.
Early in the morning each operating day, the ride’s maintenance crew conducts a thorough inspection of each of the three trains, looking at the bottom and top of each car, checking seatbelts, lap bars, upholstery to make sure it’s in good shape, and looking at every bolt. The work is very detailed and takes approximately three hours to complete for the trains to be ready for another day of prowling and growling through 35 acres of wooded terrain on the world's longest wooden roller coaster.
