There is an end to everything, to good things as well. Tonight we say goodbye to Grand Carnivale, an all-new international festival and parade that opened June 15.

The final celebration of the rich traditions of China, Italy, France, India and Germany begins at 5 p.m. on International Street. The Spectacle of Color Parade starts at 8 p.m. in Coney Mall.

I've experienced many events at Kings Island since the park opened in 1972. Grand Carnivale quickly became one of my favorites. I'm going to miss it.

Keep checking the Kings Island Blog for updates on entertainment experiences including Island Nights which begin next week.
