Construction for Kings Mills Antique Autos coming along
January 24, 2019Nearly everywhere you turn at Kings Island, there is some form of construction occurring. From the International Street renovation to building the new Kings Mills Antique Autos and other updates, the park is a beehive of activity.
Construction for the Kings Mills Antique Autos is really coming along. The pouring of concrete for the quarter-mile long roadway for the Kings Mills Antique Autos has been completed with the installation of a center guide rail to keep the cars on track soon to follow. Theming for the attraction which include billboards along the route, a covered bridge and pond are also beginning to take shape.
The new attraction will occupy an area in Coney Mall across from the Vortex and running alongside the back half of the Racer and feature scale replicas of the 1911 Ford Model T. The leisurely drive will last approximately three minutes.
The Kings Mills Antique Autos will be comparable to the original Les Taxis antique car ride which operated at Kings Island from 1972 to 2004, combining nostalgia with new enhancements.
