Kings Island announces important updates regarding the rest of the 2020 Season. Learn More.
Construction on the new Kings Mills Antique Autos attraction is moving ahead at full speed. Since our last update, construction on the station and covered bridge is nearing completion; work on the water elements is taking shape; holes are being drilled for the installation of the center guard rail; and lamp posts have been installed along the ride’s course.
Something that caught my attention are the multiple elevation changes which will enhance the roadway driving experience.
The Kings Mills Antique Autos will be comparable to the original Les Taxis antique car ride which operated from 1972 to 2004, combining nostalgia with new enhancements. The attraction is being built in Coney Mall, across from the Juke Box Café and alongside the back half of the roller coaster. The cars are two-third scale replicas of the 1911 Ford Model T; though all-new, they will retain the vintage feel of the original Les Taxis cars.
A 2019 Gold Season Pass includes many benefits, including the opportunity to be among the first riders on the Kings Mills Antique Autos on Gold Pass Preview Night on April 19. Kings Island will open for the 2019 season the following day on April 20.
