Kids can win prizes by attending The Great Pumpkin Fest in costume

The lights are set, the cameras are clicking and the music is thumping. It’s time for Lucy's Holiday Fashion Show & Costume Contest at The Great Pumpkin Fest presented by the Hershey Company at Kings Island!

As one of the top family Halloween events in Greater Cincinnati, The Great Pumpkin Fest has a spook-tacular costume contest with a chance for kids to win great prizes. Any little ghoul or goblin can walk in a parade during Lucy’s Holiday Fashion Show & Costume Contest. The short parade runs around the crowds of The Great Pumpkin Fest, and kids love waving at the audience and showing off their costume.

After the parade comes the best part: hopping on stage with the PEANUTS gang! Every kid in costume can strut their stuff on the runway for all to see, including a PEANUTS character who greets you on stage for a picture and a hug. Whether you want to win the contest or not, anyone in costume can participate. We’ve seen all kinds of characters, from wizards to LEGO people to a spooky Queen of Hearts, so get creative!

Don’t be shy, parents! Mom and Dad can get in on the action every Sunday by dressing up with their kids. Nothing says family bonding like a group-themed costume, and Halloween is one of the best times to find your inner-kid and spend quality time with the family. Even if it’s just a goofy hat, your kids will appreciate the effort.

Dress up, eat some candy, boogie down to great music, and make family memories at The Great Pumpkin Fest! The event runs Saturdays and Sundays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Oct. 28. Don’t forget to also stop by the 18-time, award-winning Planet Snoopy kids' area to enjoy some rides and even more family-friendly entertainment!
