Grammy Award winner Zach Williams among featured artists at SpiritSong festival at Kings Island

Zach Williams, who won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for his breakout album “Chain Breaker” at the 60th annual Grammy Awards ceremony held January 28 in New York, will be among the 12 artists featured at the 25th annual SpiritSong festival this summer at Kings Island.

Set for June 21-23 at the 364-acre amusement and water park, other artists joining Williams include TobyMac, for KING & COUNTRY, MercyMe, Crowder, Rend Collective, RED and Hollyn. Comedian Heath Arthur will serve as the festival’s emcee.

Spiritsong concert goers have access to all the rides and attractions Kings Island and Soak City Water Park has to offer, including roller coasters like The Beast, Banshee, Diamondback and Mystic Timbers, voted “Best New Ride” in 2017.

Demolition work completed to make way for new Kings Mills Antique Autos

Cool fall temperatures make it hard to think about spring, but that's exactly what construction crews at Kings Island have been doing this month. Demolition in the Coney  Mall section of the park has been completed to make way for the start of construction on the new Kings Mills Antique Autos ride opening spring 2019. Kings Island guests can check out the construction progress themselves over the next two weekends (Oct. 19-21 and Oct. 26-28) while visiting the park to experience Halloween Haunt and The Great Pumpkin Fest.

R.I.P. Firehawk

After nearly a week of social and news media speculation, Kings Island has revealed that Firehawk is the roller coaster that will be headed to the grave in October. Final rides will begin this weekend, with its last days of operation occurring during the final weekend of Halloween Haunt and The Great Pumpkin Fest, October 26-28. Firehawk has given over 6.7 million rides since opening at Kings Island in 2007. Its record year was 2014, when 624,016 rides were given.
