Ring in 2019 with a brand new way to celebrate New Year’s Eve! Kings Island’s enchanting New Year’s Eve celebration gives guests front row seats to the final WinterFest event of the year as the park counts down to 2019 with a park-wide party unlike any other with fireworks, live music and shows, the PEANUTS gang and plenty of family-friendly activities.

Your favorite WinterFest rides will be open until midnight (weather permitting), including Mystic Timbers, Flight of Fear, the Scrambler, Dodgem and Shake, Rattle & Roll.

In addition, the International Restaurant will be transformed into the New Year’s Eve Lounge on New Year’s Eve. From 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., guests ages 21 and up will have an opportunity to ring in 2019 with hand-crafted cocktails, a live DJ, dance floor, lounge area, and light snacks – all paired with the best view of the park’s midnight fireworks.

Admission to the International Restaurant will be granted with a cover charge, which includes one complimentary drink ticket. This location has limited capacity, with admission granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Re-entry is not guaranteed after leaving the venue.

Steam trains woven into the sights and sounds of Kings Island

There’s just something about the K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad ride at Kings Island that has appealed to me ever since my first visit to the park in 1972. The wail of the train whistles, the sound of wheels and axles as they churn (chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga), and of course the steam, are all woven into the fabric of the sights and sounds of the park.
