Banshee construction progress

Construction of the world's longest inverted roller coaster at Kings Island is well underway. The lift hill, first drop, dive loop and loop interacting with the lift hill have all been constructed.

Installing the stairs and netting going up the lift hill has been the most time consuming task for the construction crew so far.

Construction of the ride station area has begun. Worth noting is the floor under the train will not drop as it does with other inverted roller coasters.

Beginning next month, the Wail of Banshee blog will feature video updates of the construction. Rather than talk about the construction, we're going to show it to you!

So excited! Can't wait for the video updates! GO BANSHEE!

wow... this ride shot up like in the video! id be surprised if the whole layout isn't finished before the new year... / The final piece of track will be placed around mid to late January but there will still be lots to do including electrical work and landscaping before Opening Day!

I have been following the live cam, photos, tweets, etc. I am really curious, it looks to me like you have boxed in the larger construction crane. Just sort of wondering how you get it out of there to do the lower half of the ride? Does it have to be unassembled then reassembled again? / The crane will be dismantled.
